Woodhaven Wednesday Newsletter

Today, Wednesday August 5, 2026, we launched our very first Woodhaven Wednesday newsletter to everyone involved in the Woodhaven project!

The Woodhaven Wednesday newsletter concept came to me Saturday, August 1, 2026 while I was planning out the pre-production timeline for Woodhaven’s official trailer.

As of today, we are still ten months away from rolling cameras—and actors have been submitting their amazing materials. Excitement struck me when I watched their reels. These are actors with a lot of experience—sending me their resumes.

After the last reel, my excitement quickly faded into dread. The thought of how do I keep the actors and myself included, engaged with one another throughout our long and boring pre-production.Journey.

A weekly newsletter!

The actors who received today’s Woodhaven Wednesday were engaged with their choices of on-set catering. One actor said, “Cava” I was like what is that haha. After she explained what Caba is, I was like, yes, that looks delish!

We made it through our first WW and I feel accomplished, happy, and most of all, I’m getting to know each and every actor throughout our pre-production journey.
