The Havena Wood Project
For generations, a vision, a story, and a legacy is passed on to the next storyteller.
Havena’s Ancestry (portrait)
The mother of the baby is Havena’s ohkoma (her great grandmother). The baby is Havena’s kokum (grandmother).
Havena’s Project
Havena Wood, a child who becomes enraptured by visions and stories of struggle and suffering, of past hopes forever forgotten.
Stories told for generations about a place known as Woodhaven. Visions from elders that have a profound impact on her life. Leading Havena to believe that Woodhaven might be an authentic place.
Havena is the current generation to carry the Woodhaven name. In honor of those belonging to the world of Woodhaven.
Interconnectedness
Sacred land is the embodiment of generational connection. Where one has walked, so have they who have yet to walk the earth.
Crossing Feathers
A secret ritual. A harmonious ceremony celebrating the interconnection between one and nature, including separate realms not visible yet only seen in space and spirit.
Crossing feathers is symbolic for crossing paths
When two meet (cross paths) under the sun, moon, and stars, their destiny becomes interconnected. The X is also a symbol for New Beginnings.
(Fictional theory for the Woodhaven storyline, not an actual tribal symbol)
Visionary Retreats
Led by legendary leaders. Visionary Retreats are a gathering of storytellers. All who attend sit around a fire, a traditional gathering called A Ring of Fire.
The youth is invited by the elders, elders who have written tales about one common vision. It is encouraged and customary for every generation to attend and listen to the elders tell the story about Woodhaven.
